Race Maps 2021
Keith Falla Memorial full course

Race start time - 10:30
The Keith Falla Memorial full course is the second race in the EY Easter Running Festival, following a traditional 4.75-mile lap of the paths and grass trails of L’Ancresse common. The course is run regularly in the Island fixtures and is something of a local benchmark for performances.
Travel and parking
The start takes place opposite Lucksall Garage, close to Vale Church (Perry’s Guide Map reference p6 B4). The road parallel to the start will be one-way towards the T-junction with the main road. Parking is available in the public car parks at Les Amarreurs and Ladies’ Bay beaches, or slightly further afield at Chouet and Pembroke.
The land adjacent to the start (at Lucksall Garage itself) is private and parking is not permitted here. It is also illegal to park or drive on the Common itself. There should be no parking in the road, which as above is one-way for this event.
Spectating
This is possible at almost any point on the course. Although, as the circuit is nearly 5 miles, watching at further points will likely mean missing the start and/or finish. Rocque Balan (c.1km), Bunker Hill (another 800m or so on), Tower No. 5 and L’Ancresse Kiosk (c.2 miles) and Chouet Kiosk (c. 4 miles) are usually popular vantage points.
Facilities
There is no shelter at this venue. Public toilets are available at the Ladies' Bay playground, Chouet Kiosk (with-in warm up distance) and slightly further out at Pembroke.
Registration and check-in
This will be open from 09:00 to 09:30.
Briefing and start
The briefing will take place on the start line at 10:25, 5 minutes prior to the start. The race will be started by the sponsor’s representative on the sound of a horn or similar.
The race
The course will be well marked with gates, arrows, and chalk. Where there are gates, runners must past through them. As ever, the marshals’ instructions should be obeyed. Whilst largely run on grass and firm dirt paths there are extended sections of tarmac, which make the course unsuitable for spikes. When conditions are wet, studded shoes can be advantageous, otherwise grippy trainers or racing flats are the shoe of choice for locals. There are a number of minor road crossings that will be marshalled with volunteers.
